Logistics Manager-Fort Worth, TX

Chalk Mountain Services of Texas LLC is a rapidly growing company providing transportation and logistics services to the oil and gas industry. The company is currently based in Fort Worth, TX and is currently adding a Logistics Manager.
The Logistics Manager plays a key role in strategically coordinating sand deliveries from origin to customer locations. This position focuses on improving efficiency to control costs, supporting the development of proprietary logistics systems, overseeing billing and data accuracy, and troubleshooting challenges that arise in a complex, fast-moving operation. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to adapt quickly, and the leadership to guide the team and ensure departmental performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Division Oversight: Ensure operational needs are met across all divisions, coordinating resources to deliver on commitments.
- Planning & Scheduling: Prepare daily load projections, manpower calculations, and advanced scheduling to keep operations on track.
- Communication: Work closely with yard personnel, field teams, and third-party vendors to maintain timely and accurate deliveries.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track truck activity, well status, and downtime, providing accurate recaps and reports to leadership.
- Problem-Solving: Identify supply constraints and recommend solutions quickly, ensuring customer needs are prioritized and addressed.
- Team Leadership: Coach and support logistics coordinators, managing performance and maintaining compliance with company policies.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle billing support, payroll notes, and timesheet accuracy.
- Flexibility & Coverage: Provide shift coverage when needed, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Continuous Improvement: Embrace new systems, directives, and processes to drive efficiency and unite the team toward operational success.
- Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or high-volume load planning required.
- Strong math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.).
- Experience in logistics within the oilfield, natural gas, or fracturing industries is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Logistics Manager directly supervises and supports the Logistics Coordinators, including providing coaching, guidance, and performance management. This role also carries disciplinary responsibilities, in coordination with management and Human Resources.
To succeed as a Logistics Manager, you must be able to perform all essential functions effectively while adhering to company policies, safety standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. This role requires the ability to interpret maps, follow written and verbal instructions, and understand operational documents. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights when required.
